March 8, 2012
I am an illustrator and designer from the South West of England.
My work is influenced by my time spent as a graphic designer working on a broad range of projects, specialising in pre-school gift and activity led stationery.
You can view my previous design and illustration work in the sidebar pages, this included Zany Zoo for WHSmith, Little Bugs for Sainsburys and RetroMetric for Paperchase. I now work with a broad variety of major book publishers from all around the world. Visit my online shop to view my products including mugs, greeting cards, apparel and gifts.

Map of the World
July 1, 2011I was asked to design a children’s world map for Happy Spaces, an exclusive gallery for children. This project was a great way to improve my geography knowledge and also to think about the kinds of animals and places which would appeal to children and inspire them to think about travel and adventure! Here is the final design:
Insects and Flowers and Paperchase
June 6, 2011Insects and Flowers along with 4 other prints available from Happy Spaces are currently on sale in the London and Manchester Paperchase stores as part of a trial, so if you are nearby it would be worth going in and taking a look:
Amy Books for Korea Hermannhesse
May 31, 2011Samples of three books which I illustrated for Korea Hermannhesse arrived last week, these phonics books tell the story of Amy the cow.
These pictures show – front covers, endpapers and a spread from each of the books.
The Owl and the Pussycat
May 23, 2011I’ve been working on a new illustration lately which I filled with pattern and painted textures.

I particularly wanted to use a pattern that was based on a paisley design. I painted this in acrylic, using the head of a pin dipped in paint to add in the dots.
I like the contrast of painterly areas and textures against smooth clean shapes, the stripes shown below were done using an edge of card dipped in paint, I also use textured art paper which I paint or spatter using a toothbrush to get the effect that I want. I can change these textures into different colours and add them into the final artwork.
Moving House
April 22, 2011We are moving house very soon, so I’ve taken the opportunity to design a change of address postcard, I’ve blurred the address just to withhold my address online. If you need to contact me please contact my Agent at The Organisation.
The card features my daughter and also my dog Stanley, he is an unusual mix of schnauzer and cocker spaniel, but as he is basically a ball of black fluff, he presents a challenge to illustrate, he is also incredibly difficult to photograph successfully.
We are moving to a seaside town which I’m sure will provide lots of fresh inspiration, once I am settled I will be scouting around the town for ideas and I hope to bring out some prints in the future.

Baby Shower Invitation – also customizable.
I’ve also added a more general note card and bag with the same design.

Book Launches – Sword to Words by Tami Su
July 18, 2010“Sword to Words uses anagrams to show children that they can turn a negative thing into a positive. By simply switching the letters of disagree, it becomes is agreed. Real life photographs of the sometimes cruel adult world can change into the happy and carefree thoughts of a child with a simple change in attitude. Sword to Words can teach people of all ages a valuable lesson.” Tami Su
I have created the inside illustrations for the positive words with happy, bright and colourful illustrations, a selection of which can be seen here:
